PRESENTATION:
Dibchek-GL Tablets are available in the pack of 10×10 tablets.
INDICATIONS:
Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, diabetes with or without obesity in adults.
DESCRIPTION:
Dibchek-GL Tablet is a combination of Gliclazide and Metformin Hydrochloride. Gliclazide is a sulphonylurea which reduces blood glucose level by stimulating the release of insulin from pancreatic cells. Metformin is a biguanide which improves hepatic and peripheral tissue sensitivity to insulin hence improves glucose tolerance in patients with Type II diabetes. It reduces the amount of glucose produced by liver and absorbed by small intestine.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Dibchek-GL is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product and in conditions such as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, renal or hepatic failure, alcoholism, cardiac failure, pregnancy, lactation and patients undergoing surgery.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Hypoglycaemia, skin eruption, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, metallic taste in mouth may occur occasionally. Symptoms of side effects (if any) should subside after discontinuing medicine. If symptoms persist, please consult doctor.
DOSAGE:
1-2 tablets once or twice daily with meals to a maximum of 4 tablets/ day or as directed by the doctor.
STORAGE:
Store in a dry place below 25°C/ 30°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
